Interact Students Prepare for Dominican Republic Humanitarian Trip

Our Club is so excited to share that 3 of our own Birch Run High School Interact students along with a chaperone will be spending their Spring Break in the Dominican Republic with members of Rotary International. Senior Pierce Leix, Junior Allie Flint, and Sophomore Kylie Gammons have all made the commitment to spend their Spring Break making a positive impact in our world. Some projects they will be donating their time and talents to are as follows: Painting (homes and play areas), picking up trash, passing out mosquito nets, donating clothes, handwashing training, visiting underprivileged communities to assist Rotary doctors in the medical clinic, spend time at senior centers distributing blankets and towels, partnering with school(s) to assist with local needs and so much more.

Our Club could not be more proud of our Interact Students who truly embody SERVICE ABOVE SELF at such a young age. With any humanitarian trip comes extreme costs. The goal of this fundraiser is to raise the necessary funds for travel, meals, lodging, and items needed while on the trip. If you feel compelled to donate you may do so through this GoFundMe link . Every single dollar makes a difference not only for our Birch Run Interact Students but to the lives of all of those in the Dominican Republic who will be touched by this trip!

Thank you in advance for your support!
