Birch Run Rotary to Host Electronics Recycling Drop-Off Event on Saturday, May 30, 2026 from 9AM - 1PM in Partnership with Birch Run Premium Outlets.

Residents can drop-off old computers, cell phones, handheld devices, small appliances, and household batteries at Birch Run Premium Outlet Mall in the Nike parking lot across from Bob Evans restaurant on Saturday, May 30 from 9am - 1pm.

This electronics recycling drop-off event will accept most electronics at no-cost, with the exception of televisions and old computer monitors, which can be recycled for $20 each. “Electronic wastes can contain hazardous materials such as lead and mercury that, if improperly handled, can be released into the environment, and threaten our health. These items also contain valuable resources such as precious metals, steel, glass, and plastics, that can be recovered, reused, or recycled,” said Sarah Archer, Co-Chair of the Birch Run Rotary Environmental Committee.

Residents are encouraged to recycle their unwanted electronics through this event to keep potentially toxic and valuable electronic components out of the landfill.

Electronics pickup service will be provided by Rotary volunteers at no cost for residents of Birch Run on the day of the event. Recycling fees still apply for TVs and monitors. Appointments are required and limited time slots are available. Sign up on-line at this link.

The event will also feature a drive for deposit bottles and cans to support environmental projects.
