Birch Run Rotary Accepting Registrations for August Golf Scramble to Support Environmental Projects
The Birch Run Rotary Club is accepting registrations for the “Swing to Be Green” golf outing which will be held at Green Acres Golf Course in Bridgeport with a 4:00 p.m. gunshot start on Sunday, August 25.
“Swing to Be Green” is the primary fundraiser for Birch Run Rotary environmental projects such as the annual Earth Day Electronic Waste Drop-off event and Arbor Day Tree distribution to North Elementary School students.
The 9-hole couple’s scramble is an opportunity for novice and seasoned golfers to have fun while supporting a could cause. “Swing to Be Green” will use an alternate hitting format, women versus men. Teams will consist of up to 4 couples. Golfers may register as a full team or as a couple to be placed on a team with other couples. There will be an 18-team limit, so register early to guarantee a spot.
Registration is $50 per player and includes brats and more immediately following the outing.
