Birch Run Rotary Hosts Electronics Recycling Drop-Off Event on Saturday, May 31, 2025 from 9AM - 1PM in Partnership with Birch Run Premium Outlets.

Residents can drop-off old computers, cell phones, handheld devices, small appliances, and household batteries at Birch Run Premium Outlet Mall in the Nike parking lot across from Bob Evans restaurant. See the event flyer for a complete list of acceptable items.

This electronics recycling drop-off event will accept most electronics at no-cost, with the exception of televisions and old computer monitors, which can be recycled for $20 each. “Electronic wastes can contain hazardous materials such as lead and mercury that, if improperly handled, can be released into the environment, and threaten our health. These items also contain valuable resources such as precious metals, steel, glass, and plastics, that can be recovered, reused, or recycled,” said Allison Thiel, Birch Run Rotary Environmental Committee Chair.

Residents are encouraged to recycle their unwanted electronics through this event to keep potentially toxic and valuable electronic components out of the landfill.

Potted plants donated by Abele Greenhouse and samples of 5Heart Earthworm Farm worm castings will be given to the first 100 participants as a thank you for supporting sustainability.
